Medium Hold Gel - Salon Line vs Natural Junk-Free Line

To answer your Medium Hold Gel question more fully, it might be best to put it into the context of all our stylers, because it may be more about hair texture than ingredients (salon-grade vs junk-free).

The hold question can be subjective to the individual, but also based on hair texture.  As you know, we have two hair care lines – salon-grade, which is richer, more emollient, and has more ingredients than the natural junk-free line.  As a rule, since the natural, junk-free Medium Hold Gel has a more natural formulation than the salon-grade Medium Hold Gel, it will have less hold than its salon-grade counterpart. 

The Medium Hold Gel (for both lines) will give you chunkier curls (clumps hair together so more hair stays together to create the curl) for naturally wavy or bigger curls.

We also have a Curly Hair Custard.  The Curly Hair Custard is a moisturizing styler -  it locks in the moisture and style and is ideal for providing soft curl definition for smaller or tighter curls.  The Custard should be USED SPARINGLY until you figure out how it performs with your hair – a little bit truly does go a long way.
